"Wiley is a playful, attentive West Highland Terrier, who loves to pose. I wanted a dark background in his portrait to contract the rich, shiny, white fur, so I used colors in the home of his owner. I pay particular attention to the eyes in my pet portrait, since they add so much life to the painting. I enjoy working on scratchboard and you can see how I used the same surface for "Off Duty", with watercolor for "Her Highness" and "Honey", and in black ink for "Sleeping Ginger".""
