"I was commissioned to do this painting by the wife of the airplane owner, as a surprise for his birthday. She provided me with various photos of the plane on the ground. I painted this in acrylics and created a background which looks like the Intracoastal marshlands off St. Augustine, Florida's airport, home base for this plane.This allowed me to pick up and accent some of the gold from the plane's paint design in the landscape."
