"This is my youngest niece, shown on the beach in Hampton, New Hampshire, where my parents live. I painted this specially to present to them on their 50th wedding anniversary. Molly's red hair and turquoise-trimmed clothes with the blues reflected in the water provided the perfect contrasts of complementary colors, and I carried more subdued variations of these colors throughout the rest of the painting. My parents were happily surprised and it hangs in a place of honor in their home. (Molly liked it too!)"
